About Dr. James K.A. Smith

Born in Ontario, James K.A. Smith is a Professor of Philosophy and the Gary & Henrietta Byker Chair in Applied Reformed Theology & Worldview at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. His most-recent book Imagining the Kingdom and his second Christianity Today Book Award winner, Desiring the Kingdom, have placed Dr. Smith in the forefront of some intriguing discussions about worship and culture, and his ideas are finding an enthusiastic audience.

The 29th Annual E.P. Wahl Lectures took place on March 14, 2014 at Taylor Seminary, and featured author, speaker and professor Dr. James K.A. Smith. Dr. Smith is the author of Imagining the Kingdom: How Worship Works, and in four engaging lectures he discussed the major themes of his most recent work.
