The Wahl Centre at Taylor is again gearing up for another season of the Brown Bag Pastors’ Lunch. Our topic for the first part of the year will be stewardship – and not regarding finances alone, of course: the topic is much broader than that.
We hope you will join us to hear from these excellent presenters:
January 26 – Heather Breitkreuz – Stewardship of Time – Do crises just happen or can you be prepared for them? When the Holy Spirit nudges, are you too busy to respond? Heather will lead a discussion of whether those in ministry can actually manage their time. She will even provide a few tools... if time allows.
Feb 16 – Mike Bartusek – Stewardship of Facilities – Mike will be sharing how Steele Heights Baptist Church used their building to minister to teens at a local junior high, and is now seeing 150 of those kids visit their church every week. An inspiring story of how a local church put their facility to good use!
March 16 – Tom Berekoff – Stewardship of Finances – Tom is an expert on fundraising and development, but what really fires his passion is helping fellow believers understand the beauty and necessity (and joy!) of generosity. What are some of the key principles for churches to bear in mind on the topic of being good stewards financially?
Based on feedback from attendees, the Brown Bag Lunch series has been slightly reconfigured, with new topics and more discussion time. It’s better than ever, a good use of time for those seeking to grow their ministry skills. Please join us at Taylor Seminary at noon each of the above dates. Feel free to bring a friend, or a staff member, and don’t forget your lunch, but remember... dessert is on us!
