Deborah Chang (B. Music) Violin
Violinist Deborah Chang was born in Korea, spent her youth in Mexico and moved to Canada in 2005. She studied at the University of Alberta with Aaron Au and Guillaume Tardiff, graduating with a Bachelor of Music (with distinction) in violin performance. After graduation Ms. Chang moved to Bonn, Germany and interned as a conductor. She also studied violin there for 2 years and performed extensively as a chamber musician. She is first violinist of the newly formed Taylor String Quartet, which debuted in March 2013 with the Piano Quintet of Amy Beach and Dvorak's Piano Quintet. Ms. Chang has just been hired as Artist Instructor with the brand new YONA-Sistema program sponsored by the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
Deborah Chang is not taking new students at this time. She is teaching on Saturdays and as the Artist Teacher for the YONA Sistema program sponsored by the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
